Matthew Quint, Q-Fit Relentless Founder, Athens Alabama

Matt started his fitness passion in 2001 earning his A.C.E. (American Council on Exercise) personal training certification and working at numerous commercial gyms around the Phoenix, Arizona area. Throughout his early career as a trainer, he knew something in the field was inherently wrong. Trying to sell packages, conning clients, keeping progress slow as to retain the client as long as possible never sat right with Matt. While continuing to train clients here and there but pursue other avenues in life, it was an injury in May 2020 that Matt and his wife Magan started to formulate the birth of Q – Fit. From the thoughts, ideas, doubts, disapproval, and utter fear of the unknown about starting a business came an overwhelming feeling of “this will serve the community in ways you cannot imagine.” Thus, in April 2022, Q – Fit opened its 1st warehouse and for the last 3 years has amassed amazing growth in not only personal training clients but 24 hour members and new facilities and equipment. Q – Fit is and always will be the standard of excellence in your fitness objectives and journey. Q – fit will never be “cookie cutter” you have matts word on that!

What sets Matt’s approach above others….? Two words! Never comfortable.

Matt’s thought process towards your excellence: 1st and foremost you will never come in and be handed a “one size fits all” workout/training/nutrition plan. Matt has dedicated himself to always being true to his process, which is the complete opposite of the fitness industry normal. Every client has a truly personalized workout just for them, even if Matt is training multiple individuals. The accountability of “personal training” has been lost for decades and replaced with pure profit over results and coaching. An example of this is that Matt nor anyone else at Q – Fit will ever put you on a piece of cardio equipment your last 15-20min of a session and walk away to start training another client.

Athletes!!! – are you tired of being grouped with 20 other people and just “sweating?” Sports performance has become a complete money grab in the way of just throwing all athletes together and running the exact same drills. Along with the grouping, sports performance coaches have blurred the lines between being a “sports coach” and a “sports performance coach”. A sports performance coach doesn’t teach blocking techniques, routes, how to kick a ball, shoot a basket, or things that a specific sport coach should teach. The job of a sports performance coach is to train the body to do every movement better, more efficient, faster, more coordinated, and stronger than before. If your ready to see, feel, and learn the difference of what a real sports performance coach can do, contact me at mquint@qfit-relentless.com.

Julian “jj” Romero

Personal trainer | self-defense educator

  • Founder & creator of the “Revive and Thrive” geriatrics program

  • ASFA (American Sports & Fitness Association) Self-Defense Instructor Certified

Since 2017, I’ve been dedicated to transforming lives through fitness, self-defense, and mental resilience. My journey started in the world of athletics—competing in football and wrestling—then evolved through rigorous hand-to-hand combat training during my years as a police officer. Today, I continue to sharpen my edge as a student of MMA, learning the art of combat not for glory, but to empower and protect.

I come from the grind—an upbringing in a single-parent home where struggle was real and survival meant fighting forward every day. That fire forged my purpose: to fight for the unseen. The underestimated. The overlooked.

My mission is twofold:

1. Women’s Self-Defense: I strive to give confidence back to the everyday woman. Whether she’s out for a morning run or grabbing groceries for her family, she deserves the tools to defend herself. My classes aren’t just about self-defense—they’re about awareness, strength, and reclaiming power. If she’s ever ambushed, I want her to know she has a fighting chance.

2. Revive & Thrive – Geriatric Training: Age is not weakness. I specialize in training clients who’ve been told to give up, to slow down, or to accept limitations. “Revive & Thrive” is more than a program—it’s a movement. I pull those who feel forgotten from the ground and lead them toward strength, mobility, and a new level of life comfort. I believe in every client’s ability to rise—and I don’t stop until they do.

Whether you’re a senior ready to reclaim your independence, a woman reclaiming her voice, or a person who just needs one person to believe in them—know this: I see you. I train you. I fight for you. Feel free to reach out to me at jjromero@qfit-relentless.com.
